The first underground in Central Asia

The Tashkent Metro, opened in 1977, is Central Asia’s first metro system and a city landmark. The stations are known for their stunning architecture, with marble columns, mosaics, and national motifs that celebrate Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage.

The metro is safe, clean, and operates daily from early morning to late night, with trains running every 3 to 6 minutes. Photography, once restricted, is now allowed, making it a must-see attraction for visitors.
